The area of Meditation and Knowledge is to the left of the front, or the Northeast section of the Ba-Gua.  This placement is ruled by Earth and Wood is best to be avoided. Fire nurtures Earth, so it is a fine place for whaver represents the flame of Wisdom for you. Earth colors and objects of an earth-like quality would be appropriately placed here.
